Down Payment & Closing Cost Grants

Upon the housing counselor's analysis, consideration for a down payment/closing cost grant is initially determined. In order to be eligible for these grants, home buyers must meet income and other guidelines. Based on funding availability, eligible homebuyers will have grant funds reserved through Housing Resources once they have an accepted offer to purchase.

Housing Resources has the ability to reserve the following grants:

Housing Cost Reduction Initiative Homebuyer (HCRIH Grant)

This assistance (up to $2,500 based on household size and annual income) is made possible through funding received from the State of Wisconsin-Division of Housing. These grant funds are forgivable over the initial three-year period of owner-occupancy.
