Section 8(y) Homeownership Program

Housing Resources is a partner of the City of Milwaukee and the City of Racine Housing Authority on their Section 8(y) Homeownership Program. The program is designed to provide Section 8 participating households the opportunity to purchase a home of their own by using their voucher for homeownership. Eligible Section 8 participants can apply their monthly housing assistance payments towards monthly mortgage payments.

Section 32 Residents Homeownership Program

In order to participate in this program, the home buyer must be a resident of the City of Milwaukee Housing Authority's Public Housing Program and complete an application for the HACM Homeownership Program. This program is for first-time home buyers who meet minimum income and other guidelines. Housing Authority residents interested in transitioning from living in City of Milwaukee Housing Authority properties can receive free assistance from Housing Resources to work towards homeownership.
